I suffered through acne and blemishes for the last 1.5 – 2 years. The cause might have been over-excitement in trying out “everything possible” when the whole online shopping explosion happened. I used to get stuff delivered home or office almost every week. The books I ordered I never read, and the beauty products weren’t always the best. I had to pay a harsh price.
And then I tried a lot of things to get rid of acne and the blemishes. I used Vichy Normaderm series (which are brilliant, BTW) but they stopped working or just slowed down the general effect after some time. I had to then try something new and hopefully effective. After a lot of research, I opted for Clinique. This review is about the Clinique cleansing foam.

Ingredients: I seem to have lost the box. It must have had the ingredients list.
Packaging: It is a light-blue colored bottle that is the same as the blue of the full 3-step anti blemish solutions series. It has a simple pump dispenser that is easy to use. The product feels liquid-y in the bottle. It comes out as a foam.
The foam is very runny and went down my palm fast before I could click the pic. It has almost no smell. I say almost because I can smell a light medicine-y smell now that I really smell it. I did not find it over powering any time I used it. Its almost unnoticeable while you use during the skin care routine.
My experience with Clinique anti-blemish solutions cleansing foam:
To once and for all fix my acne problems, I went to Clinique counter one day to try their 3-step solution. I knew the perfect one for me would obviously be the anti-blemish series. And after my skin analysis, the Clinique lady thought so too. She presented me with the 3 products as part of the anti blemish range. I bought all three. And that was the best decision I have made last year… skin care wise.
This range helped me so much! My acne showed tremendous change right from the 2nd week. I still do get occasional acne every month but this goes off right after the end of the hormonal change. I will review the rest of the products in this range some other time.
The facial foam I feel isn’t the best part of this range. Of course it has the “medicinal properties” that I felt really helped my acne to go away but it is not super cleansing. I use 1-1.5 pumps for my whole face. But sometimes I need to do it twice. I have seen over the internet that this problem was faced by a lot of other people too. My skin does feel smooth after every wash.
As you can probably see from the above picture, the Clarifying Lotion and the moisturizer are almost over. I can still feel that there is about half of the bottle of cleansing foam still left. It could be because of the foamy nature. I am not sure.
My journey in the Luxurious Bath:
My hair still in the shampooed state, and the face already pretty much cleansed by the Lush Dark Angels Cleanser, I used the Clinique anti-blemish solutions cleansing foam mainly for the “medicinal effect”. I concentrated mainly on my cheek and jaw area as they are more acne-prone. After some time, I washed it off along with the shampoo in my hair.
Last word: I would say if you suffer from really bad acne like I did, you should try the entire range. Do use this cleansing foam at least once. I do not plan to repurchase this one as I feel it has had its maximum effect on me already. I will purchase the cleanser specific for oily-combination skin after this is over.
