I haven’t blogged a lot this month. I am afraid this will remain the case for a few more weeks. Planning and making a wedding happen is a huge task, apparently. Today I wanted to quickly blog about the wedding.
To plan the wedding properly, I researched and found a list of things that might have to be done from here. Then I set about adding these to a google spreadsheet and assigning to people: me, the dude and my brother.
There were around 65 appropriate items in the list and with 6 days left to the wedding, there are a few left.
Finalize your order with the florist.
Have the programs printed.
Purchase gifts for parents and attendants.
Pick out your cake topperFinalize reception details.
Determine the order for the procession.Choose someone to hand out the wedding favours or thank you cards.
Choose someone to return any rented items after the wedding.
Write any cheques required for the wedding day.
Pack for your honeymoonGive the wedding bands to the best man.
Give the best man any cheques that need to be given out that day.
Present the attendants and parents with their gifts.
Relax and enjoy your special day!Register your wedding with the government official
Make a gift list and send out your thank-you notes.
Send thank-you letters to suppliers and attendants.
Arrange for cleaning and preservation of your gown.
The ones in red are the scary ones that have to be done right away.
I have trusted the pandit for the Hindu wedding that he will take care of everything. Still I need to get some jewellery and flower orders for that. Other than that, hopefully everything is set.
There is the pre-wedding appointment tomorrow or day after and after that the relatives will start arriving. Things are expected to get hectic but hopefully, we have covered most things. *crosses fingers*
See you all after the wedding. Try not to forget me.
Love,
~ JC
