MAC- The Matte Collection 2014- Pander Me lipstick- Review and Swatches.
MAC Pander Me – a beautiful everyday shade from MAC- the Matte lipstick Collection 2014. The collection already launched on 14th and I guess most of it is OOS. When it comes to MATTE lipsticks everybody goes crazy and starts calling them their babies 😛 C’mon who don’t love MAC matte lipsticks in this world, I do-you do-everybody does! I feel like Pander me is the mix breed of MAC Yash and MAC Taupe. I had MAC taupe but I gave it away, the shade is pretty but somehow it ain’t getting much love from this mamma. *naughty face*
What Company Claims:
The Matte Lip is here to stay. Create a standout look with the fashion-forward new shades of our iconic matte lipstick. Vibrant hues like fuchsia Velvet Violet and La Vie En Rouge are a bold contrast to the rich burgundy of Fashion Revival and nude of Styled in Sepia. For the best in colour intensity, Pro Longwear Lip Pencils in super-saturated shades to make a modern statement. Go for the cool rouge of Trust in Red or boost it up with new Bespoken For, a dark, creamy plum. For a polished finish, accent with the soft, pinky hues of Pro Longwear Blush – long-lasting color that’s purely fabulous.
Price: 1450 INR for 3g – Thank you MAC for not hiking the price!
MAC describes –Pander Me as “Soft Peachy Mocha” with matte finish. A very true to the bullet shade which can replace your current MLBB shade. This shade strongly discharges the emotions of soft feminism of everyday life. It is medium deep peachy nude shade which looks different on different skin tones. The warm undertone makes it pretty wearable in all season. I have seen my friends in the USA raving about this shade and no matter what skin tone you are, from fair to deep, everyone can rock with darker lip liners. The shade looks very similar to mocha but slightly darker and more coral.
The texture of this lipstick is creamy, smooth but has matte finish. It applies smoothly without any tugging or pulling but the texture of this lipstick is slightly on the drier side (not to forget the weather is changing) so a lip balm is must. I usually prep my lips half an hour before applying any matte lipstick so that I don’t get slippy effect when I actually want to go with matte lips. Every Matte Lipstick has incredible pigmentation. It has opaque coverage in just single pass and gives even application without clinging to dry lines. Mac Pander me gives 6 hours of wear time with heavy lunch – Incredible! I love to pair this with my nude lip liners or for more dramatic look try using darker lip liners.
BTW, has anyone tried “Styled in sepia” another nude from this collection?? I love to know how is the shade. Kindly comment below if anyone does.
Note: The lip swatches below are without any lip liner, I try not to use any lip liners unless necessary.
What I like about MAC- The Matte Collection 2014- Pander Me lipstick:
- Beautiful medium deep peachy nude, lovely MLBB shade.
- Neither drying, not hydrating.
- Highly pigmented.
- Don’t sit on dry flaky lip lines.
- Last for 6 hours plus.
- Survive heavy meals.
- This shade flatters all skin tones but those who are above NC 45, a dark lip liner can make a trick.
- Glad that MAC dint increased the prices compared to collection product.
- Soothing Vanilla fragrance.
- Limited Edition.
- Can be easily created- if you have 2-3 correct shades in hand and of course time and a lip brush. *flattering eyes*
What I don’t like about MAC- The Matte Collection 2014- Pander Me lipstick:
- Nothing but I like the texture of MAC “Fashion Revival” more.
If there is a nude shade missing in your life, go and pick this up. It is nude but has colour, it won’t make your face look flat neither become over powering! A perfect everyday shade comes with limited edition tag: once gone, its gone. I have many nudes but this one is new and different. I can see myself using MAC “Pander me” a lot this season 😀
