In this *really* hectic day-to-day life, we often forget the basics. Then suddenly we realize a scalp facial is just what you needed. That’s exactly how I felt last week when I had a chance to try out the new Nioxin Scalp Renew Dermabrasion Treatment from the Bodycraft Salon, Jayanagar, Bangalore.
It all started with the stylish discussing with me about the quality of my hair and the weaknesses and what I regularly put it through. He determined my hair to be medium-to-coarse.
The Nioxin Scalp Renew Dermabrasion Treatment acts like a facial for the scalp. Nioxin claims this anti-aging treatment uses dermabrasion technology to help regenerate and revitalize scalp surface skin through exfoliation.
Gently exfoliates the scalp, removing build-up around hair follicles. Helps accelerate skin surface regeneration by up to 34% compared to untreated skin.
Nioxin Scalp Renew Dermabrasion Treatment is basically a pre-wash treatment that the stylist generously applied all over my scalp. He then went on to massage it deep into my roots. At this point, my scalp was left alone to soak in the goodness for about 15 minutes. After which it was time to start the Hair System Kit.
System 5 is specially designed for normal to thin-looking, medium to coarse, natural or chemically-treated hair. It delivers smoothing control to hair while refreshing the scalp and restoring moisture balance.
Each of the systems contain a cleanser, a scalp revitaliser and a scalp treatment.
Cleanser and the scalp revitaliser, the shampoo and the conditioner in the range felt extremely fresh. The scalp treatment was a good overall finishing touch. The whole treatment took about 45 minutes.
A week after undergoing the treatment I can safely say that my scalp feels refreshed. The hairfall had reduced slightly and somehow my hair feels more voluminous. I am sure it can’t all be my imagination. 🙂
I am liking the treatment so far and would like to continue it at least for a few months. It is recommended that the treatment be done once in a month or so. I would whole heartedly recommend my friends and readers to go try it out for themselves.
Cost: Rs. 3500.
